6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
7... The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
8 Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
9 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.
10. In L.. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County .)

Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds!


Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

This woman is frightening.

She quotes...' We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this?), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.' (I am not rich, are you?)

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:

'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.'
(Read that quote again and again and let it sink in.) 'Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it'.

Economic Storm Clouds Gather as USA Goes Socialist

For the last year, all political attention has been focussed on the health care debate. In the end, the bills that were ramrodded through Congress and signed by the president will not reduce government spending by a dime.

In fact, Congressman Paul Ryan's analysis, CATO analysis, heck... anybody with a brain's analysis will show you that the true cost of the bills could be as high as $2.5 trillion.

Moreover, the on-budget costs of the legislation probably account for only 40 percent of the total costs. The other 60 percent come from the private-sector mandates. But Democrats have systematically suppressed any estimates of those hidden taxes, probably because such an estimate would reveal the full cost of the legislation to be closer to $2.5 trillion over the next 10 years.

And, did I mention? We don't have the money!

Gosh, this weekend, Pravda published "American capitalism gone with a whimper".  The writer laments America's fall.

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

Sort of insulting to be called a sheeple, but the true hurts!  And then Pravda targets the complicity of the financial institutions.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison.

Yikes!  Our banks are ripping us off? Then this article in Bloomberg this weekend:  "JPMorgan, Lehman, UBS named in Bid Rigging".

JPMorgan Chase & Co., Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and UBS AG were among more than a dozen Wall Street firms involved in a conspiracy to pay below-market interest rates to U.S. state and local governments on investments, according to documents filed in a U.S. Justice Department criminal antitrust case.

The bump in the economy is a false trap.  The government spending is a head fake, and smart money is getting out of bonds, equities and hard assets.  Governments who have to balance their budgets (state and local) are going broke and moving to severe austerity programs.  Unions are on the other side: they are organized and militant.

This is not looking good.  Expect, as Moody's pointed out, that the eventual cure, will cause social unrest.

Yes, Government Controlled Health Care is Worse

In the hours Sunday leading up to the vote that will go down in infamy, I was engaged in a heated debate with a left leaning acquaintance.  He was so far left that he swallowed the line that not only were insurance companies evil, so were all profit making enterprises.  He was jubilant that the days of government run health care were upon us.

I warned him that the laws of supply and demand are not subject to the laws of man ... In simple terms: Welcome to rationing.

His response: "Nobody will be turned down for care."  My counter argument was to provide some examples from Canada, a story where a person was told to leave the hospital, having arrived with a stopped heart.  He response: "He could have gone to another hospital."  The answer: "No he could not."  Once the government has ruled, you lose your choices.

If fact, Canadians with money regularly use the USA for serious and higher quality care, especially politicians:  Canadian Newfoundland premier Danny Williams went to Sarasota Florida in February for heart surgery ... a low-risk, low cost procedure "not approved" in Canada.

The sad fact is that government health care has to be rationed, or else costs will spiral out of control.  Thomas Sowell has written extensively on the matter and provides the facts.

Government health care around the world:

• 23% of people wait  4 months or more for elective surgery.  5% in the USA.


• 90% of Ontario, Canada patients wait 336 days for a new hip.  (Breaking news, now down to 182 days). In the USA: 7-14 days.


• Canada has 11.2 CT scanners per million; USA 32.2.


• Canada has 5.5 MRI's per million; USA 26.6.

Bottom line: You have a better chance of surviving cancer in the USA than in Europe or Canada, according a National Center for Policy Analysis study last year.

Yes, government cannot do better then private enterprise ... and we now risk destroying the best health care in the world.

While many of the changes to U.S. healthcare can be characterized as "middle of the road," as President Obama described, there are obviously areas where the government is extending its reach too far -- just as the vocal opposition has articulated consistently during the past year's debate.

I haven't had an opportunity to read the few thousand pages of the healthcare bill (why should I be any different than our elected officials?), but it's certain that many details have yet to be sorted out. However, it's also clear that cost-cutting and operational efficiencies will be the mantra in the industry and those companies that are best equipped to deliver products, services and technologies at economical price points will be the biggest winners.

Yep.  We have officially joined the Socialist Alliance!  What is that?  If you don't know, you are not "with the program".

Even MSNBC Poll Shows Massive "Angry" Reaction

Anyway, the results are showing a remarkably strong disdain for being told that Washington Knows Best.

Wow!  The Angry's outweighed the Exciteds by 2.5 to 1!

Consistent with the thesis that Obama and crew just don't care about the mood of the public, this is a another factoid that will certainly spell doom for the Dems in November.

Health Care Ramrod? You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet

The ramrodding of the health care bill in the House last night will embolden and invigorate the radicals, as I predicted months ago (Earthquake in Mass! Will Obama Listen, or Double Down?)

... the Dem leadership will not take this as a warning shot for the November mid-terms, but will double-down their bets — press healthcare harder, and push more of their leftist program.  (After all, they are smarter than the rest of us.  We just don’t understand as well as they do!)

All the revulsion from the Christmas eve Senate bill ... that swept Scott Brown into office ... All the outrage from the ("little") people .... meant NOTHING to alter the radical agenda Obama and his commune have for the country.

So it is time to reflect and review our Rules for Radicals, the published user's manual for the Obama cabal.  What rules did they use to push this one through?

Ah! Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Never let up. I'd had to award full marks to Pelosi and Obama for never believing they couldn't use the power to persuade, bribe or otherwise entice members to vote against the will of the people.

"Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)"

What went wrong?  Dan Perrin tells us this morning that Stupak lied.  Until the final moment, Stupak gave no indication that he and the other pro-life members had a deal.  Of course, some members got water, some get a hospital, and some get to keep their bank ...

AS GOVERNMENT TAKES OVER THE ENTIRE STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM!

I need a day to think about all this ... but I am convinced we will see the radical left GROW in intensity. Will we see an anesty program?  We WILL see the health care bill being sold like it was something everyone wanted and will enjoy for decades to come.

We will see spending discipline (what's that?) disappear as the "savings" are spent on the doctor fix and whatever other program floats into the empty skulls of shot in Washington.

A sad day for freedom as the socialists win a battle .... But not the war!

Why Obama MUST Pass Govt Takeover of Health

I have written this post to explain why President Obama is so desperate to pass health care legislation, seemingly regardless of the cost to the Democratic Party.

The reality is that President Obama owes his success and his hold on power more to three Marxist groups than he does to the Democrats.

The three organizations, Communist Party USA, Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism and Democratic Socialists of America, all worked with Barack Obama for years and helped get him elected.

Now they want payback.

All three organizations have campaigned hard for "socialized" or "Single Payer" health care.

They want Obama to pass a Bill, any Bill, so that they can then ratchet up the pressure until the government has complete control of the health sector.

Why? because these people figure that if government controls health care, it will lock socially conservative American workers into supporting their Democratic Party allies indefinitely.

Britain after WW2 is their model. While Winston Churchill was the hero of the hour, in 1946 he was dumped in a landslide in favor of Labour Party leader Clement Attlee, on the promise of a massively increased Welfare State and a socialized National Health Service.

Leading Communist Party USA theoretician Norman Markowitz put it this way in a November 2008 article in Political Affairs, entitled Obama's Mandate for Change;

A “single payer” national health system – known as “socialized medicine” in the rest of the developed world – should be an essential part of the change that the core constituencies which elected Obama desperately need.Britain serves as an important political lesson for strategists. After the Labor Party established the National Health Service after World War II, supposedly conservative workers and low-income people under religious and other influences who tended to support the Conservatives were much more likely to vote for the Labor Party when health care, social welfare, education and pro-working class policies were enacted by labor-supported governments.

Constitutional Voting Rights Resolution

a) Inasmuch as Sections Five and Seven of Article I of the United States Constitution mandate a certain process for the enactment of a federal law and do not allow a measure to become a law by “deeming” it passed by either House of Congress, it is the Sense of the Senate and its judgment that the House of Representatives is required by the Supreme Law of the United States, to vote directly and up or down on H.R. 3590 in order to send that measure lawfully to the President, if, and only if, it shall have been approved by a majority vote of each such House taken on an identical measure; and, more particularly, it is the Sense of the Senate that, in conformity with Article I of the Constitution, the House of Representatives, unless the measure is returned to the Senate with an Amendment by the House, must vote directly on the language sent to it by the Senate precisely as it was duly enrolled at the direction of the Senate by its Enrolling Clerk, certified as an Act of the Senate by the Secretary of the Senate, and thereupon transmitted by the Senate’s Messenger to the House Chamber while the House of Representatives was in actual Session.

b) It is the further Sense of the Senate that the exact words that the Senate caused to be enrolled on parchment and taken by messenger to the House of Representatives, constitute the sole document and the only document upon which Members of the House can lawfully cast their vote, whether Yeah or Nay, under the process expressly mandated by the United States Constitution; and it is also the Sense of the Senate and its judgment that to do otherwise by “deeming” rather than voting would void any purported enactment, deprive it of the force of law, justify disobedience to it, and cause irreparable violence and harm to our system of government and its fundamental law through fraud, deception, abuse of power, and usurpation of the civil rights of the People.

c) This Section maybe cited as the “Congressional Voting Rights Resolution.”

Constitutional Crisis Being Triggered by Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi is reported to be scheduling a vote on the Slaughter rule: where a rule vote will consider the Senate bill a passed bill, WITH AMENDMENTS!

This is reported in last night's RedState briefing under the ominous title: Constitution Be Damned - ObamaCare Vote Next Week.

If you haven't been concerned about this very unsavory process up until now, you should be. The constitution is clear:

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law.

If these maneuvers by the White House and Pelosi are pushed into the Senate, the Parliamentarian must rule them out of order.

At that point, Vice President Biden can overrule the Senate parliamentarian.  As Charles Krauthammer states:

But if he does that, that's not a nuclear option. That's a thermonuclear option. That's Krakatoa. That's 100 megatons.

That will be a catastrophe if it is seen that the bill is pushed through by overruling a ruling of the neutral parliamentarian and passing what would otherwise be illegal.

Jimmy Gee made some scarey comments on the RedState Article:

I now understand why Obama used the State of the Union Address to ridicule the Supreme Court of the United States. He is trying to use Alinsky tactics to marginalize the Supreme Court of the United States; Obama knows full well that this unconstitutional power-grab will not stand and that they will be deciding on numerous parts of it this year. This will make the Gore/Bush election debacle look like a girl scout meeting!
As a nurse, I fear that once this becomes law, Obama, will soon after HCR is passed, will federalize all health care workers and put them under the SEIU. We will be forced to pay union dues to the SEIU.
Something else I fear. Someone is going to be killed in this mess. Some Senator, or Congressman will be shot at a town-hall, or even while out for pizza with their family. I fear something akin to the riots of the 1960’s.
But what I fear most, is that if the democrats get this bill through, and successfully pass it, they can, and will, do anything else they want to do.
But what they don’t understand is this; they see this as a means to continuous political power for how ever the United States exists. We, the people, see this as the death of the Constitution and the death of the United States.

Obama Disdains Govt By, Of and For the People

Obama, like all "progressives" (formerly known as avowed socialists), believes in rule by an elite class.

An IBD column yesterday has some stunning quotes, dug up by George Will.

Professor Obama, who will seek re-election on the 100th anniversary of Wilson's 1912 election, understands, which makes him melancholy. Speaking to Katie Couric on Feb. 7, Obama said:

"I would have loved nothing better than to simply come up with some very elegant, academically approved approach to health care, and didn't have any kinds of legislative fingerprints on it, and just go ahead and have that passed. But that's not how it works in our democracy. Unfortunately, what we end up having to do is to do a lot of negotiations with a lot of different people."

Note his aesthetic criterion of elegance, by which he probably means sublime complexity.

This reminded me of a political conversation with a friend of mine, who strongly felt that government should be run by PhD's only. Well folks, this is what we have got!

Obama regularly lectures us on the right answer. He tells us where we and his opponents are wrong. He does not like having to explain his reasons to the "little people".

Obama wants to "fundamentally change" America .. even if he can't get the votes fair and square through the Senate and House.

Vote "no" for health care reconciliation. Vote YES for America!

The number 1 visitor to the White House, according to public WH disclosures, is SEIU President Andy Stern.



Stern was recently appointed by President Obama to be a member of the 18 person commission to reduce the national debt.

How has the head of a radical labor union like SEUI been able be the number 1 lobbyist to Obama? He just didn't register.  BigGovernment.com reports that:

Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and me [Brian Johnson], as Executive Director of the Alliance for Worker Freedom (AWF) formally requested an investigation by the acting United States Attorney Channing D. Phillips, Esq., into the potentially illegal lobbying activities of the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) President Andy Stern.

But why should we be worried about Andy Stern?  Why is he the most dangerous man in America?

Well, first, he has the ear of, and now obviously, power through Obama, so he can influence and push an agenda.  He has advised Obama on his health care tactics (see his involvement in a YouTube video here.)  Obama said repeatedly during his campaign that he calls SEIU and Andy Stern "first" on every issue.

But more importantly is what this man believes.  In earlier decades, he might have been called a communist, certainly a socialist, but radicals these days prefer more benign labels, like "progressive".

Let's look at Andy Stern through his own words and actions:

"We're trying to use the power of persuasion. And if that doesn't work we're going to use the persuasion of power."

"We took names. We watched how they voted. We know where they live."

Sound like a thug?  Well, yes, SEUI members have beaten up people they don't like.  But does that make him a socialist?

"Workers of the world unite, it's not just a slogan anymore. It's the way we're going to have to do our work."

Hmm .. where did that slogan originally come from ?  Gee, it is directly out of the Communist Manifesto (1848)!!!  This man is in FAVOR of the dis-assembling of American capitalism in favor of a government run society (with himself and Obama in charge, of course!)

"I happened to be at Davos and I say they are going to rename this year's Davos as the revenge of the countries over the companies. Because all of a sudden we realized we let Global Capitalism run amok and reap global regulation and today we began the process in London of actually putting in place those regulations."

"We have a new metric. The president says he wants to judge the new economy, whether it increases the number of people in the middle class, whether we have shared prosperity, not just whether we have growth, which is that we've seen in the country of today. "

So Andy is preaching straight up Socialism to us, and he says the President is on board!!!  No argument from the White House here ... and with a selection as 1 of Obama's 6 picks to the debt commission ....   seems that the White House is OK with the Communist Manifesto.

So why is the health care plan of Obama's so important?  So important, he is asking Democratic House members to walk the plank, risk their political future for the bill?  OK, let's go back to Andy Stern:

"Now, how do we distribute wealth in the country? And this is sort of my last big point. And clearly government has a major opportunity to distribute wealth. Through tax policies, through minimum wages, through living wages, the government has a role in distributing wealth or social benefits like Medicare, Medicaid, certain health insurance."

Andy Stern is an avowed Communist, with more access to Obama than anyone else, receives contemporary support from Obama himself, and is committed to redistribution of wealth, world government and the "revenge of countries over companies".

Ladies and gentlemen:  Andy Stern is the most dangerous man in America.

Desperation from the Left - Name-calling and Unfair Interviews on MSNBC

I have to agree with RedState.com, that MSNBC is completely nuts!

Take, for example, this rant by former CNBC reporter, and now talk show "host", Dylan Ratigan. It seems all they can do is paint any citizen-oriented dislike of government policy as a desire to "kill black people". CRAZY!

You watch... You decide.

Obama Unpopular, But Does He Care?

While his popularity / Support dives, he strongly believes that it is YOU, not him, that is the problem. You just don't understand. He just needs to do some more talkin' to the (gun huggin') folks.

Obama refuses to believe that Americans are against his substance, not his talk.  He wants all Democrats to sacrifice their careers to back his hated health care plan.

It's quite possible they will ... and if they do, they WILL lose their jobs.

The real risk is if they think they will lose their jobs no matter what.  Will they take a scorched earth approach?
